Equipment Repair

by ALP Enterprises

We Come to Your Equipment

Mobile repair for farm equipment, construction equipment, and outdoor power equipment — at your farm, your jobsite, or your barn.

No trailer. No hauling. No two-week wait at a shop.

Serving Northeast Georgia since 2025

THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE

When a tractor goes down, you've got three options. Load it up and haul it to a shop — if you own a trailer big enough. Wait two or three weeks for the dealer. Or leave it sitting.

at ALP Enterprises

We're the fourth option. We show up where the machine already is, with the tools, the parts, and the experience to get it running.

HOW IT WORKS

Tell us what's going on

Call or text and describe the machine and the problem. Make, model, and what it's doing — or not doing. Photos and videos help a lot. Sound clips help even more. We'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can handle on-site.

We quote the visit up front

You'll know the dispatch fee for your area and our hourly rate before we ever start the truck. No surprises, no vague "we'll see when we get there."

We come to you and diagnose

We show up in a window you agreed to. We find the actual problem — not a guess — and we tell you what it'll take to fix it and what it'll cost. If we've got the parts on the truck, we fix it right there. If we need to order something, you'll know exactly when we're coming back.

You get an itemized invoice

Parts, labor, and fees listed separately. You'll know what you paid for. Pay on-site by card, check, or cash.

Hourly Labor

  • Farm & construction equipment — $115/hour

  • Diesel trucks — $125/hour

  • Outdoor power equipment — $95/hour (1 hour minimum)

  • Welding & fabrication — $135/hour

One hour minimum, then billed in 15-minute increments. The clock starts when we arrive and stops when the toolbox closes.

Dispatch fee

  • Zone 1 (within 20 miles) — $85

  • Zone 2 (20–35 miles) — $125

  • Zone 3 (35–50 miles) — $185

Covers travel to your location

The dispatch fee applies to every visit. It covers getting a fully equipped service truck to your equipment, whether the fix takes five minutes or five hours.

Got more than one machine down? One dispatch fee covers the whole visit, no matter how many pieces we work on while we're there.

Diagnostics — $115 Covers the time to find the actual problem, not guess at it. Charged in addition to the dispatch fee, and credited back toward your repair if you authorize the work the same day.

Diagnostics

Before 7am, after 6pm, or Saturday: 1.5× labor. Sunday, holidays, and emergency same-day: 2×.

After hours & weekends

MAINTENANCE PLANS

The cheapest repair is the one that never happens. Our maintenance plans are prepaid, scheduled at your convenience, and they put you at the front of the line when something does break.

Single Machine — $385 + parts

One annual service. Oil and filters, full greasing, all fluids checked and topped, 22-point inspection, written condition report so you know what's coming.

Homestead — $895 + parts

Up to three machines. One visit, one trip charge, everything serviced. Priority scheduling.

Contractor Fleet — Quoted

Four or more machines. Semi-annual service, priority same-day or next-day emergency response, 10% off emergency labor, and no dispatch fee on scheduled visits. Built for outfits that can't afford a crew standing around.

We're local. Based in Athens-Clarke County. Not driving up from Atlanta or over from another region when we feel like it.

Why ALP Enterprises?

We answer the phone. If we don't, we call back the same day. That shouldn't be a selling point. In this business, it is.

We tell you what it actually needs. Not what makes the biggest invoice. If it's a $20 fix, it's a $20 fix. If it's not worth repairing, we'll tell you that too.

Real equipment experience. Farm and heavy equipment is what we know best — hydraulics, diesel, drivetrains, and the electrical gremlins that make a machine act possessed.

One call, more than one problem solved. ALP also runs dump trailer and hauling services. If you've got a brush pile, a demolition tear-out, or need material brought in, we can handle that on the same trip.

FAQ

Do you have to see it in person to give me a price?
For most jobs, yes. We can often tell you the likely range over the phone, but an accurate quote takes hands and eyes on the machine. Photos and videos help — send them when you call.

Do you work on newer equipment with all the computer systems?
Some of it. Certain manufacturers have restricted diagnostic software access to their own dealers for years. That's changing — a 2026 federal settlement requires John Deere to give independent shops the same tools its dealers use, phasing in through the end of 2026. We'll be straight with you about whether your specific machine is something we can service today.

How fast can you get here?
Depends on the day and where you are. Emergency and same-day calls are available at premium rates. Maintenance plan customers get priority. Call and we'll tell you honestly instead of promising something we can't get to.

What if you can't fix it?
Some jobs need a shop, a lift, or specialty equipment. If yours is one of them, we'll tell you honestly and point you toward someone who can help. The dispatch fee still applies — we brought the truck out and diagnosed the problem, and now you know what you're dealing with instead of guessing.

Can I supply my own parts?
Yes. We'll install customer-supplied parts, but we can't warranty the part or the labor associated with it. If it fails, the return trip is billable.

What payment do you take?
Card, check, or cash on completion. Parts deposit is always required.
