Kubota SVL95-2S E9302 Code Under Load – Fuel Restriction Found in the Tank

The Machine
Kubota SVL95-2S compact track loader, rigged with a grapple for land clearing work in Hartwell, GA.

The Complaint
The customer called us out for an E9302 fault code. The machine would run, but the code threw almost immediately once the engine went under any load.

What We Found
When a fault only shows up under load, the engine is usually asking for more fuel than it’s getting. We worked the fuel supply side back from the engine and narrowed it down to a restriction upstream of the water separator. That put the problem somewhere between the separator and the tank.

On the SVL95-2S, getting to the tank means lifting the cab. With the cab up, we found a large piece of paper towel stuck directly over the fuel outlet in the bottom of the tank. At low demand, enough fuel got around it. Under load, the suction pulled it tight over the outlet and starved the engine.

What We Did
We removed the paper towel from the tank and cleared the outlet.

The Result
The machine was back to 100% and back to clearing.

Takeaway: If your machine only throws codes under load, check the fuel supply side before anyone starts quoting injectors or a pump. Also keep rags and shop towels away from the fill neck when you’re fueling.
